That being said, let me introduce myself.
My name is Jon and I'm Artistic Director of Break It Down. We focus on youth education and dance productions all based around positive and authentic Hip-Hop culture. We focus primarily are the Bboy dance form (also know as breakdancing).
We currently have a massive youth education program engaging hundreds of students across the city in schools, and at the end of the year bringing them all together for the Bboy and Bgirl city championship. It's a powerful program and makes students really burst with self confidence through strong self identification with the postive aspects of our culture.
Can't wait to hear more about other dance programing out there across the city.

great idea to break it down into a dance stream like this...I hope some other groups chime in...there is power in unity and communication!
I keep my toe in the dance world by working as a stilt-dancer, but I can relate to what your group is doing from past experiences in TO (Bluprint 4 life) and Cleveland, OH, where our dance company was lucky to collaborate with some heavy b-boy crews as well as artists representing the other elements of Hip Hop.
Keep up the good work, it's got to be making a huge impact on a lot of youth's lives!
