Every year as part of our Spring production, our youth performance arts company features an aspect of our African and Caribbean musical heritage that is linked to other world cultures. So for instance, last year our dance ensemble performed an Afro-Caribbean piece called "Carisas" which was rooted in a blend between African and Latin rhythms. As a result we invited a Latin Band to perform as part of our show.

This year, our Afro-Caribbean troupe will be presenting a "Chutney" dance piece which demonstrates an Indo/Caribbean blend of dance. As a result, we are hoping to find a f Bhangra or Dhol drummer/drumming group to perform in our show. Perhaps a professional who works with youth as well or is open to being part of this type of program. I am having a difficult time in connecting!
