About:
The AngelHeartRiverwalker Project rooted in Afro-Nativism from the North & South. This Duo is best known for their lyrical and musical contributions to the popular Red Slam Collective who were mentored by Juno Award winning artists Digging Roots.
The AngelHeart Riverwalker Project represents the best of Mahlikah Awe:ri's aka MC AngelHeart (Mohawk Gahna'wa:ge Territory & Mi’kmaw Bear River Nova Scotia) poetic-rapology mixed with indigenous drum talk and Isaac Riverwalker's (Inca, Peru) hiphopsoulrock fused with afro-Peruvian rhythms, the syncopated stylin’s of Yusei Ota and Javier Navarrete on percussions, and the b-boy acrobatics of Cree Hip Hop Culturalist Rawn Razor. AngelHeart and Riverwalker met 4 years ago at an open mic in Toronto and have been collaborating ever since. The first project offering is entitled: Serpent's Skin. A Seven track EP of self-reclamation and warriorism, production for the majority of the album from LaMounde Moore of Notlam Productions, the partner of Mi’kmaw recording artist Pam Levi.
