Family Fun Day

In our second year in partnership with Art City Toronto, we are pleased to bring you more fun filled and fully participatory arts for kids and their families.
Join singer/songwriter Jessica Spiezale in an interactive popular music workshop. Jessica will lead the group in a sing along to a popular radio song. Children will be provided with percussion instruments and lyric sheets and Jessica will accompany them on her acoustic guitar. A video recording will be made of this session and played back to participants so they can watch themselves in action!

Then, Shannon Moynagh will introduce art lovers young and old to print media, a truly universal art form. Participants will create a relief print by scratching their portrait onto a Styrofoam plate, rolling ink over the plate, then pressing it onto paper. Each print will then be arranged and photographed, producing a community ‘group portrait’ to document our shared art making experience.
