About:
Throughout my life, I have seen art as a channel for communication. Through studying within different art practices, I have developed an appreciation for the potential that art has to connect people, stimulate discussion and create positive change. In my own practice, as an educator, interdisciplinary artist, and criticism and curatorial practice major at OCAD University, I strive to harness that power of dialogue that strengthens communities. I’ve spent the last 3 years curating and participating in-group exhibitions with students and artists from a diverse range of cultural and professional backgrounds, while working in various community art establishments. I value each community’s story, and how it allows me to see our common threads.
With a passion for serving within my community, my aim is to educate through art, on social issues, and inform the masses through the practice of exhibition and within a classroom setting.
Currently I am interning with Toronto Arts Foundation, working alongside the Community Investment Manager.
