I have recently gravitated to documentary videography with a particular interest in recording musicians and other performing artists. This comes after having made and exhibited works on paper and canvas for many years.
The advent of the Internet, particularly YouTube and Vimeo, seems to me to have been an amazing breakthrough in allowing performers to have their work seen by people all over the world, and it is part of my current practice to help other artists do this.

Having recently witnessed the presentations to the Executive Committee at City Hall by Claire Hopkinson and Karen Tisch, I can't think of a better way to express my own views than to echo theirs. Art and culture bring inspiration and solace to individuals, and make a city (and country) great. Winston Churchill is supposed to have said,"If we aren't fighting for our culture, then what the Hell are we fighting for?" While it's always a struggle, it's always worthwhile.
