Art for Commuters

About:

Art for Commuters was founded in February 2007 in response to an opportunity to showcase the work of professional artists on urban screens. Art for Commuters produces, curates and programs public art projects and festivals on the Onestop TTC Network of 300 subway platform screens. In doing so, we offer a range of contemporary artists the opportunity to show in the public spaces frequented by 1.3 million daily commuters. We also engage a general, urban populace by initiating unique, thought-provoking art that address urban experiences and issues.

Thoughts about art and community:

Art for Commuters is interested in public art, and giving a public voice to communities through art.
