Art Works Art School is a community based art school whose mandate is to introduce adults, teens and children to the enriching world of art in a positive, creative and healthy environment. Adult programs offer a variety of art lessons for novices as well as more experienced in a supportive and structured environment. Teen classes focus on portfolio preparation for high school, college and university. Children's programs emphasize development of visual awareness and self-expression, confidence in problem solving and comfort with materials. We also offer March Break and Summer Camps, full or half day programs available. Our school houses a permanent gallery on the first floor. Art Works Art Gallery has ongoing calls for artists. We also sell retail art materials to the public through our art store located on the first floor. Also available to the public is our reference library, The Frank Hoff Art Library, which is located on the second floor. Every Thursday evening from 7 to 10 pm, we hold a drop in Life Drawing Class which is non-instructional with a fee of $10 for 3 hours. Please bring your own materials or you may purchase them from our art store. Family Sundays at Art Works Art School offers families in the community the opportunity to come in and make art together for a drop in fee of $5.00/person or $20/family from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Our new and permanent space at 238 Jane Street. is a beautiful light-filled facility with four fully self- contained studios on all three floors. Please drop by and visit us! Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm.
