I'm a writer, editor, painter, and all-round damn fine cook. My taste in visual art runs to the abstract. In my world a cow generally does not look like a cow--nor would I paint a cow in the first place! To this point, I have hung my paintings in my own home or given them to friends and family. I've been ordered to change that, so very recently, I started showing my paintings to "the outside world".

Every weekend I try to do something "artsy"--whether it's a performance at the National Ballet, a play at Soulpepper or Tarragon or Factory Theatre, a visit to the AGO for their latest show, or a gallery hop on Queen West. There is so much to see and do in Toronto--and the calibre of work is wonderful.
