Eva Katz, MFA is an artist and designer who always delivers the highest level of creativity and quality for every project. The visual impact of colour is the essence of Eva’s work and clearly defines her aesthetic pursuit. She holds a fascination for lines and contours and has applied it to the mediums of her interest – drawing, painting, calligraphy, typography and fibre art. Her artwork attempts to create an intersection between the purified line and the rich textures and vibrant colour schemes by which she is influenced.
Katz’s work engages both human and organic subjects. By working in small scale with exaggerated detail, Eva is able to magnify the emotional intensity of her forms. Her love for textile and fashion is clearly reflected in her most recent work with fibre art.
She was recently accepted into a collective of 9 artists at the Chesswood Collective, where she paints and exhibits her work.
Eva lives in Toronto.
