FIXT POINT is an emerging independent theatre company committed to the creation of original site-specific spectacles that animate society and inspire audiences to imagine change.

FIXT POINT holds a studio space in the west end of Parkdale. It is a space for theatre artists to make new plays, teach workshops and hold seminars, and where the neighbourhood hosts neighbourhood events.

FIXT POINT is derived from the teachings of Parisian clown. It means to stop and check in with the audience. It means to wait after telling a joke to see if anyone is laughing. It is a still second on stage so the audience can catch up. It is a beat with the performer and the audience together. It is a wink.

FIXT POINT was founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Lisa Marie DiLiberto. The company has toured critically acclaimed original shows to the Isle of Whyte, UK and to The Edinburgh Festival (2006); to theatres across Canada (Toronto, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver: 2007) to the Graz and Vienna in Austria, and to the Prague International Festival, (2008).

FIXT POINT also facilitates theatre exploration through workshops and classes. In Spring 2009, the company offered classes to over 45 local students ages 0 – 12 and formed a TEEN ENSEMBLE in the Parkdale studio.
