About:
There is a saying: "A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist."
I have been working as a Graphic Artist in the Philippines for five years and in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the past seventeen. During my career, I have acquired a wide variety of design and technical skills. This broad range of experience gives me the ability to contribute to any phase of design projects (from the development of the initial concept, to the creation of the final products and all steps in between).
My experience has provided me to organize, motivate and to cultivate a smooth working environment.
My areas of expertise include: publication design, pre-press, production for print; web site design; character and graphics animation and also product illustration. I have an extensive experience with software applications on both Macintosh and Microsoft Windows platforms.
Studied at University of Santo Tomas, Philippines for six years and graduated as Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising.
in 1999, I have joined in “The Centennial Art Exhibit” in Jeddah and was organized by our Honorable Consul General. After that Exhibit, we created our own group which was ”Kulay Pinoy”, in which all of our members are mostly artists in different fields and at that time I was one of the former president.
I worked as painter. Working with so many styles and created some inimitable techniques which I use today. Working with medium such as pastel, oil, acrylic, airbrush and watercolor; I developed my paintings by expressing it through my emotions. During that time, I constantly worked on my own style consisting in figurative works as well as landscapes.
As a painter, I aspire to incorporate beauty, simplicity and harmony within my art while I still escalating my techniques and perceptions. In that way, a greater sense of existence is evoked for each new masterpiece I create.
Today, I work exclusively as a fine artist.
Thoughts about art and community:
As of now, I am just new here in Canada and I'm trying to connect with my fellow artist here in the same field. Art is my life and i don't want to stop using it....I am trying to study the culture here and trying to visualize it in my own way....
