Thoughts about art and community:
There is a growing body of knowledge linking creativity in the arts with empowerment. Young people who are given the opportunity to incorporate creativity into their lives can enjoy the experience of discovering, developing and utilizing their many talents in order to support them in their journey toward building a better future. Toronto is an amazing place where young people can both showcase and share art in the context of community. We must invest in this process at all levels most especially, at the grassroot level.
