Photography has been a constant in my life for several decades. I like playing with the range of representation offered by the photograph - rendering images in recognizable or abstract forms, and exploring themes that inspire both art and living. My completed doctoral studies provided me with methods for exploring ecological identity and arts-informed ethnography, and I carry these practices into my interest in photography and writing.
Thoughts about art and community:
I am inspired by majestic landscapes, urban exploration, sustainable intensification, and ways of living that I hope my children will respect the day that they consider having children of their own. My neighbourhood is where I seek to build strong fabrics and produce intergenerational solutions, and every day I derive energy from those aspiring toward sustainable ways of living.
