princess productions is the keystone of Yvonne Ng's activities as an Artistic Director, Choreographer, Performer, Teacher, Presenter, Producer and Curator of contemporary dance. The organization is an incorporated, not-for-profit, charitable organization. The mission of the organization supports the activities of tiger princess dance projects and dance: made in canada/fait au canada.
• Through tiger princess dance projects (tpdp), I am interested in creating and preserving dance works with a unique Canadian perspective that reflect my personal, artistic vision that involve experimentation and collaboration with other artistic disciplines.
• Through dance: made in canada/fait au canada (d:mic/fac), I provide performance opportunities to Canadian choreographers of artistic merit, many of whom would otherwise have to self-present their work. d:mic/fac presents emerging companies/artists who are starting to form a national and international presence on a shared platform with established companies/artists.
Thoughts about art and community:
An important part of the artistic vision for both divisions of princess productions (tpdp and d:mic/fac) is to give more than just artistic “product” back to the community. I believe that the arts should be accessible to all and work within tpdp and d:mic/fac to make this possible.
