Formed in 1989, the Red Tree artists' collective works in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration with artists and/or community members.

Recognition for community art practice has come a long way since Red Tree started working as a collective in the late eighties. Yet, many community arts groups still operate on a project to project basis.
