Theatre Columbus has produced orignal theatre for the past 27 years. The plays have been presented across the country and around the world, most notably, The Attic, the Pearls and 3 Fine Girls and The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine. The work has won 9 Dora Awards and has been nominated 47 times. Theatre Columbus has added 30 original plays to the Canadian canon.

The mandate of the company is to create serious and funny theatre that shines a light on the individual in society. The performance style is highly physical. The stories and settings are familiar, recognizable and timeless.
