About:

I started a non-profit in Boston MA in 1998 that used interactive installation performance as the stage for telling community stories. I've created 8 community based projects in Boston , California, Texas and England and I have been at it for over 20 years. I grew up in Toronto and came to the states for college and just never seemed to leave.

Thoughts about art and community:

My father still lives near the city in Pickering and I visit regularly. He also taught at York University for as long as I've known him as an English Prof. Toronto in general seems to have a sense of itself, what is important to retain, Boston in comparison will sell anything to the highest bidder. We apparently were both approached by the same "waterfront developer" and Toronto threw them out while Boston welcomed them with open arms and which has partly been responsible for the loss of the largest artist community in New England that was located near the Boston waterfront. We lost 500 artists but they renamed it the "Cultural District" anyway.
