Artist wanted for live painting event at Wychwood Barns Farmer's Market
On Saturday, June 30th, the Defining Moments art program (www.canadianmoments.ca) will be celebrating Canada Day with a live painting event at the Wychwood Barns farmer's market. We're looking for an artist to come up with a concept for a painting on a canvas tent that will be donated to the farmer's market. The theme of Defining Moments is youth and Canadian identity. The artwork concept should reflect the theme, and we'd like the artist to have experience working with youth (to engage with youth attendees at the event).
The details:
When: event on Saturday, June 30th, with preparation beforehand
Where: Wychwood Barns farmer's market
What: a large-scale painting on a canvas tent, on the theme of youth and Canadian identity
Requirements: preparation work during the month of June to draft a concept for the painting, and test out materials
Compensation: $500 to cover materials and the artist's time
