Request for Proposals – Graphic Designer
Boss Magazine is seeking proposals from experienced graphic designers to layout the Spring issue of the magazine.
Background:
Boss Magazine is the sleek fashion Magazine that Toronto has been waiting for; it represents the unique and bold voices of youth in Toronto showcasing the individual styles and talents of its community. We at Boss aim to create our voice reclaim our identity and most importantly display the various people who strive to achieve success and well-being. Boss Magazine is a youth-led, up and coming fashion magazine, birthed in the Jane and Finch community. We are currently putting together this magazine in order to help uplift our community from the pessimistic social stigma that the media portrays. Boss Magazine gives youth their own media outlet to demonstrate a positive identity of our community and its members. Boss is more than a magazine, it is also an avenue for youth to interact with, and be mentored by professionals in their careers of interest. Boss Magazine published our premiere issue in the Fall of 2011. Boss Magazine will be releasing it's Spring 2012 issue in March.
Request for Proposals:

Experienced and qualified graphic designers are invited to submit proposals to complete the layout and design of the Spring 2012 issue of Boss Magazine, under the direction of the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director.
Please submit via email (BossMag01@gmail.com) a written proposal of a maximum of 3 pages outlining: Your experience with magazine layout Your availability to complete the project in a limited timeframe (2 weeks, Feb. 2012) Your availability to provide mentorship to youth interested in graphic design Your budget to complete a full colour, 8 ½ x 11, 80 page magazine, plus cover

If selected, Boss Magazine will complete a signed contract with you outlining the terms of the agreement, the deliverables, the payment schedule and the deadlines.
