Call for Volunteer Artist Workshop Assistants and others
ART OF THE DANFORTH is a new art event in East Danforth from May 20 -- June 10, 2012.
We will be displaying art, created by both professional artists and community groups, on and near the Danforth between Greenwood & Woodbine Aves -- in empty store windows, mounted on walls of operating stores, on the street and in park areas. We want to transform our shared spaces in creative, profound and/or whimsical ways, exploring the relationship between "what is" and "what could be" in our cityscape.
We need your help as volunteers! As a volunteer, you will get insight into the workings of a medium size art festival, work with an awesome team, and have an opportunity to explore community building and arts based community development.
Volunteer opportunities include Artist Workshop Assistants, Event Animators and Volunteers, Promotion, Greeters, and Stage Managers.
