CAP presents Roots of Rhythm
Community Arts Practise is hosting another professional development workshop and would love to see you there. It features two amazing musicians - Iauwata, a Caribbean musician from Truth and Rights, and Rodrigo Chavez of Cassava Rhythms. They will introduce different kinds of rhythms from around the continent, weaving Indigenous and colonial histories through the various instruments and beats. It will be a participatory workshop in which participants get to make music with percussion instruments and not only hear about them.
There is no admission fee and refreshments will be served.
When: Saturday, November 12, 2011 | 2:00-6:00PM
Where: Upfront Theatre Foundation Studio at Keele/Finch.
