Come Sing with Night Swimming Theatre!
An Invitation to an Evening of Choral Singing and Research in the Distillery District
Tuesday March 13 from 7 - 10pm
Nightswimming artistic director Brian Quirt, writer/performer Martin Julien and guest facilitator Karin Randoja are conducting musical research as part an ongoing examination of choral and a cappella music. This will be the third session this season... with a fourth to follow on March 27th.
Karin is a singer, teacher, actor and director based in Toronto. She works mainly in theatre, making original work, and is a member of the Independent Aunties theatre company as well as on faculty in Humber College's Theatre Program.
For Tuesday's session we need as many volunteer singers as possible to provide an ensemble we can use as a whole or in smaller groups. Our goal is to look at the dynamics of singing ensembles such as large community choirs. We will provide and teach music to the group. No public performance will be involved. No previous singing experience is necessary. And it will be fun – honest.
Location: Dancemakers' Michael J. Baker Studio in the Distillery District’s Cannery Building - Building 58, Suite #314.
