CONVERGE Conference
Sunday June 19

Converge is a gathering for youth to explore LGBTQ identity and culture through the arts.

This year's theme is:

OUT OF BOUNDS

At the last Converge, over 400 students went to over 30 sessions by over 60 presenters. These presenters are people who have experience or expertise in various creative fields, such as creative writing, music, acting, filmmaking, dance & visual art. Some past presenters include trey anthony, Sook-Yin Lee, Wayson Choy, Sasha, Rinaldo Walcott, Will Munro, Ryan G. Hinds, Kids on TV, Boylesque, Diane Flacks and Syrus Ware.

This year, for the first time, Converge will be open to the public and be all ages. Please see the 'Come to Converge' part of this website for information on how to register. To keep Converge a youth-majority space, there is limited number of spaces for people over 25 and anyone over 25 must pre-register unless you are a presenter or high school teacher.

We hope people will come from all across Ontario for our one day gathering of hope, justice, culture and craft.

Converge is a gathering place for youth to examine queerness, creativity and identity, and to experience a queer & trans majority where who you are is more than just a label.

Every year, Converge continues to be a bridge between lgbtq generations and communities, demonstrating the power of youth and the incredible histories and experiences of those who've gone before.
