Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 20 hours/week 1:30-6:30pm

Art City is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to assist with social media and administrative tasks. Art City is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing free and accessible, multidisciplinary art programs to the children and youth of St. James Town.
Job Description
1. Maintain student and volunteer registration system
2. Coordinate Art City's social media – regularly updating the Facebook page, daily tweets and weekly blog posts
3. Assist with monthly letters to parents and community partners
4. Inputting statistical information and daily attendances
5. Address inquiries from parents and community members who visit the studio
6. Attend monthly networking meeting with community partners in St. James Town
7. Daily administrative duties – managing office supplies, answering phone messages, photocopying, preparing sign-in sheets
8. Assist with grant application preparation
Requirements:
Proficient in Excel and Word
Familiar with various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress)
Good written and verbal skills
Comfortable using both Windows and Mac OS
Administrative - highly organized; able to keep files orderly and work independently
Knowledge of the Arts and non-profit sector an asset
Experience working in environments with children and youth
Willing to work as part of a team
Familiar with Arts and Education funding proposals
