Employment: Director of Communications
SummerWorks is hiring a Director of Communications
The SummerWorks Festival is looking to hire a director of communications. This person will be responsible for managing all blog and news content for the Festival as well as some twitter and facebook responsibilities.
The candidate should be adept at social media. A history with blogging, tweeting and facebook is an asset.
Blog responsibilities will include but are not limited to: conducting interviews with artists, writing content describing events at the Festival, helping produce short videos for the Festival, soliciting guest blog posts from artists at the Festival.
This person should feel comfortable talking to artists and be comfortable socially. It would also be ideal if they feel comfortable being in front of a camera.
The desire to be creative with blog and twitter content is also desired, as this can be a very creative position.
This position starts immediately and is approximately 10 hours a week leading up to the Festival on August 9th, and will be full-time hours during the Festival itself. (August 9 – 19th)
