COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Location: Philippine Women Centre, 1093 Davenport Rd., Toronto, ON
Compensation: $10.25/hour

Hours: This position will require 30 hours of work per week for a period of six (6) weeks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a full time college or university student returning to studies in the fall.
DESCRIPTION:
The Philippine Women Centre of Ontario is seeking one individual to join us as a Community Outreach Coordinator. Among other duties, the outreach worker will be responsible for the coordination and execution of community outreach programs, which includes the recruitment, retention and scheduling of outreach volunteers. He/she will report to the Board Members of the Philippine Women Centre, and will work closely with members of PWC, SIKLAB and UKPC-ON.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for the coordination and execution of community outreach programs Recruiting, retaining and scheduling outreach volunteers Responsible for PWC’s community program promotions and marketing.
Preparation and distribution of bulk mailings, brochures, events, flyers and newsletters Answering telephone and maintaining a phone/case log Emailing press releases, statements and communiqués to media and other community contacts.
Perform other duties as prescribed by the PWC Board of Directors.

Among other duties, the youth researcher will be responsible for the coordination and execution of community research programs, which includes research planning and implementation. He/she will report to the Board Members of the Philippine Women Centre, and will work closely with members of PWC, SIKLAB and UKPC-ON.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for the coordination and execution of community-based research programs, including research planning and implementation Get direction, work closely with, and report to PWC’s Board of Directors in the delivery and direction of the research Help outreach to Filipino youth aimed at involving them in the research and ultimately in the PWC’s youth program Responsible for resource development for the research and help initiate new youth program ideas Promote and advocate for the youth program of the PWC Perform other duties as prescribed by the PWC Board of Directors.
