JUST BGRAPHIC: Dance Scholarship
Dance is a discipline with so much variety that it’s no surprise many students find their passion in one or more of its forms. Whatever the variety, dance requires hard work, talent, and dedication. These traits, and many others possessed by dancers, make dance scholarships a great way to reward students who are dedicated to their art, and provide the opportunity to succeed in post secondary education and their dance career. The mission of this scholarship is to take 4 senior high school students and expose them to a whole new world of professional dance, outside of their home city. The intent is to ignite the drive to pursue post secondary education in dance. To accomplish this we need to break down the barriers that prevent these successes.
The JBG Dance Scholarship Program is designed to recognize and encourage JBG students who: Have exceptional artistic talent and potential Have demonstrated commitment by dedicating a minimum of 100 hours of programming hours Are pursuing a career in the arts. The students who receive this scholarship will travel to an arts school, academy or dance centre within the Americas and take classes for 1 week.
This scholarship covers the expenses of travel, accommodations, food and classes. We need your support to bring life to this scholarship.
