Place-based, inquiry-based education workshop - April 2‏

March 13, 2012

Invitation to an environmental education workshop rooted in place-based and inquiry-based methodology.

Do you want to challenge "nature deficit disorder" and connect science lessons to the real world? Have you ever wondered about how to teach about nature in the city? Are you interested in a workshop where you will develop an environmental education teaching resource that you can share with your colleagues?

This workshop is part of the EncuentroConference (affiliated with York University Faculty of Environmental Studies). Admission by contribution to potluck lunch or cash donation to offset conference costs.

We welcome teachers (ECE, K-12, and beyond!), teacher candidates, and community educators. Please contact Jessica: jspang@yorku.ca for more details and to register.
