Regent Park Arts: Share your story
Growing up in an "at-risk" neighbourhood. Discovering yourself. Learning to express your creativity.
Meet six young people from Toronto's Regent Park neighbourhood who have found their voices through creative expression – from music to theatre to visual arts to poetry: Mustafa Ahmed, a poet; Cecilia NuguyenTran, a pianist; Fathima-Husna Fahmy, a visual artist; Tony Le, an actor; Steve Harmony, a singer-songwriter; and Matthew G. Brown, an actor and musician.
Unlike the stories we often read about in the news, these young people are using arts and culture to inspire change in the world around them.

Artscape commissioned Andrew Gunadie (a.k.a. Gunnarolla of YouTube fame) to create a trailer and five short videos introducing viewers to young people who have found their voices through creative expression.
In September 2012, Artscape will open the Regent Park Arts & Cultural Centre – a new cultural hub in the revitalized Regent Park neighbourhood and a platform for showcasing the vibrant creativity of Regent Park, Toronto and the world.
