Learn how to use social media tools more efficiently and effectively. This intensive Social Media Boot Camp, led by Akimbo's Social Media Director James Fowler, focuses exclusively on Facebook and Twitter, however other social media platforms such as YouTube and Google+ will briefly be discussed.
Learn how to:
1. Use social media tools more efficiently and effectively.
2. Build social media into your overall communications strategy
3. Integrate your social media tools with your website, emails and other marketing materials
4. Keep your social media activities and goals specific, measurable, attainable, realistic/relevant and timely (i.e.. SMART)
5. Define what successful social media outreach means to your organization, and how to measure it.
The Boot Camp will focus on the 4M's:
1. Messaging: content plan, workflow, platforms, personality & strategies
2. Managing: talking, influencers, relationship building, linking, rewards & incentives
3. Monitoring: listening, audience demographics, traffic, responsiveness, Netiquette
4. Metrics: tracking, analytics, demographics, beyond the numbers, payoff

Boot Camp: 3 hours / $250

Note: As a prerequisite to signing up for the Boot Camp you must have your organization's Twitter and Facebook accounts set up. If you would like to hire Akimbo to do this for you:
Twitter and Facebook account set up: 2 hours / $100.00 (in Toronto only)
If you don't have your Twitter and Facebook accounts set up James Fowler will meet with you one-on-one in your office for two hours to help you do this. This is for set-up only and does not include the Boot Camp components.
Dates available for set up: September 23 - October 12
Combo & Save Option: Combined one-on-one Twitter and Facebook account set up and group Boot Camp: 5 hours / $300
Private Boot Camp Option: One-on-one Twitter and Facebook account set up and one-on-one in-office Boot Camp: 4 hours / $400 (Toronto only)
James Fowler will meet with you in your office to set up your Facebook and Twitter accounts and give you a personalized seminar on the how-to's.
Dates available for the Private Boot Camp are after October 17.

James Fowler has a background in sales at Canada Newswire working with corporations and organizations in various industries to streamline their media messaging, monitoring and metrics. He has worked with public relations firms and the executive of publicly traded companies on the TSX and NASDAQ to help achieve their communications goals. James currently maintains a fulltime studio practice in Toronto and has taken a keen interest in social media and eMarketing. He joined Akimbo this spring as Social Media Director.
