Untitled T-shirt Project
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Sunday May 13, 2012 at midnight
Luminato and the Drake Hotel are currently seeking artists, designers and collectives to submit proposals for the Untitled t-shirt project. Untitled is a collaborative project to develop an artist-designed souvenir for the Luminato Festival and will be available for sale at Luminato (June 8-17) and the Drake Hotel General Stores.
The t-shirts will be screen-printed with a single graphic image in a limited edition of 500. The artist will be invited to sign and edition each shirt. In addition, a small poster (approx.17"x11") will be produced of the image in an unlimited edition.
Submission Procedure
Submissions should be sent to untitled@thedrakehotel.ca and include a digital file of the image (ideally an EPS file or Illustrator vector file with each colour on a separate layer), as well as a C.V. and artist statement.
Artist Selection
Luminato and Drake will select the Untitled design on Wednesday, May 16. The winning artist will be notified by email of the decision.
Artist Remuneration
The selected artist will receive a commission of $1.75 for each shirt sold and $1 for posters. Upon the close of the festival, the total sales will be tallied and payment will be forwarded to the artist.
