Adults Art Program Drop-In

by artheart

About:

ArtHeart's Adults Arts Program is held three days each week year-round and has an attendance of up to 30 participants per workshop. Participants use our studio to create art with free materials, tools, instructors and guest artists. Because our philosophy is: no starving artists, we offer meals and refreshments at each workshop. At ArtHeart, adult participants find a supportive and safe place in which to belong and benefit from the ample free artistic materials, studio and art instruction. This translates into many aspects of people's lives, such as finding and maintaining proper housing, employment, self-care, returning to school and an overall improvement in quality of life.

Program Hours:
Tuesdays: 5:30 to 8:30 pm
Wednesdays: 12:00 to 3:00 pm
Thursdays: 12:00 to 3:00 pm

Volunteer Opportunity:
Get involved by volunteering once a week in our adult program. We're accepting applications from art instructors, cooks and program facilitators. Specifically, a volunteer knitting instructor and volunteer life drawing instructor (clothed model). Donations of art supplies, used canvases and art books are always appreciated. E-mail izik@artheart.ca for more details.
