Exhibition Theme: The Most Notable Uprising I Witnessed in My Life Yet
Exhibition Description: Exploring relationship between art and sociopolitical revolution and its influence on community”
From Tiananmen Square 1989, Tunisia Revolution 2011, Egyptian Revolution 2011 and ongoing Syrian uprising and all other sociopolitical revolutions around the globe. How do you as artist interpret these revolts in your work?
CulmixArts is organizing an art exhibition around this theme to explore relationship between art and socio-political uprising around the world, and how art influence such revolt.
Artists are invited to submit their portfolio for a future curated exhibition.
Open: Canadian artists and international artists (we strongly recommend artists from the affected regions to apply)
Fee: free
Portfolio Submission Deadline: November 31, 2011
Exhibition Place: Gallery will be announced soon
Media: all media including new media, photography, poetry, Sculpture, posters and print (Limited Edition)
Acceptable Work:
1. Work must in one way or the other address the exhibition theme
2. Work must be original
Submission must include the following information:
1. Artist biography and statement
2. Images of artwork

Support Material: Maximum of 12 jpg images 72 dpi at 1024 pixels maximum and/or a DVD for video no longer than 5 minutes in length. All images must be numbered and labeled to match the corresponding image list.
Self-addressed stamped envelope: submissions will not be returned without the SASE.
Postage must be valid for mailing from within Canada.
Please ensure that your name and title of the submission is clearly marked on each part of the submission, including all support material.
