Toronto Outdoor Picture Show will present an evening screening of the great silent Harold Lloyd comedy The Freshman (1925) accompanied by an original musical score performed live by Toronto band The Holy Gasp. This event, entitled "Slapstick by Starlight", will take place outdoors in Parkway Forest Park (North York) on Saturday, August 26th, 2017. Just a stone’s throw from Don Mills subway station! Toronto Outdoor Picture Show is the organization that has been bringing you the West End’s summer fixture, Christie Pits Film Festival, for the past seven years. TOPS has more recently become well known across the city for its live-score screenings, fast becoming one of Toronto’s favourite summer events. You surely don’t want to miss it! “Slapstick by Starlight” will be a celebration of homegrown artists and classic cinema, and co-presented with Wavelength Music Series.
